I just did an openSUSE install on an older PC for a friend and the
legacy nvidia drivers wouldn't load because he had an older Athlon.
It said the proc needed SSE instructions. Some of the later Athlons
had SSE instructions.
Also, it is possible that the older Nvidia legacy drivers didn't
require SSE, so if you installed them way back, you wouldn't run into
any problems.
