I think it is really unfair hyperbole to call any of the candidates
evil. None of the four major players (Biden. Obama, Palin, or McCain)
are people I'd call evil. I think all four sincerely believe they can
help the country. I think all four bring different things to the
table. I see why each of the four have fans and detractors. I also
believe that most of the negativity surrounding EACH of these four
people is mis-founded. The reason I'm voting against Obama is because
I believe he is at times naive and idealistic. That belief
corresponds with how often his website changes. I don't believe he is
a career flip-flopper, so much as his platforms and policies are
rapidly evolving. I believe they are evolving so rapidly because he
hasn't had the tenure to debate or deal with these issues long enough.
His naivety could really bite us on foreign affairs.
I wouldn't vote for Obama today, but maybe if he were running at a
later junction in his career.
That being said, I don't think the electoral college will be nearly as
close as people expect. The margin of people polled is supposed to be
around 7% right now, but Obama is going to win several battleground
states such as Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Michigan, etc. Obama has this
election in the bag, and the recent financial problems cement that
even more. A large majority of pollsters say they trust Obama more on
financial matters, which has suddenly become the #1 issue.
