[olug] running linux on dual CPUs

Is there anything special about setting up a linux installation on a 
dual CPU machine?  Anything I need to do during the installation or 
configuration?  Or do I just install as usual and the OS will take care 
of everything?  I remember hearing about how applications had to be 
specifically compiled to use multiple CPUs and I'm wondering how this 
applies to the OS.  Will probably be using CentOS.  The CPUs will be of 
the i386 type, probably PIIIs.
