[olug] AOL and Linux

I'm heading to my girlfriend's parents house for the Xmas holiday this 
year but will need some sort of minimal connectivity to my workplace 
(probably just SSH). I know they have a Win98 box with AOL. I was hoping 
to be able to use a Linux live boot disk such as Knoppix, MandrakeMove, 
LNX-BBC, SuSE Live Eval, etc. when I need computer access.
I'm wondering if it's possible to get Linux (specifically one of the 
Live cds available) to work with AOL. Also, I've never used AOL before - 
can I even use port 22 for SSH?
