Just found out something of note about Cox's new network...

I have, a couple times for experimentation, pulled my address from dhcp
with my main box.

Well, the other day my firewall box suddenly quit passing anything
outside. It wouldn't ping out at all. I swapped NICs, still nothing.
Reinstalled Debian. Tried everything, and then Trevor took a whack at it
and we found out they had recorded my MAC address and since the
firewall's was different.... no internet.

So, if you've ever pulled a dhcp address and you're trying to set a
different card as static, it ain't gonna work ;)

PS. I assume that if you pull an address through dhcp with another NIC
it will work fine.
