No, Craig nor anyone else was able to get any *nix/BSD to install on the Alpha. I was able to configure the DEC to boot from the CD_ROM (finally - after vaguely remembering my DEC experience & using the help); but the RH 7.1, 7.0 & the BSD we had at the install fest would not start the install. I was about to start researching the error message when the power cut out & the package update on the PC I was working on went dead. 

You know, I had thought of bringing an extra UPS - and blew it off! :-[ Aarrgghh!

IMHO, finding the right *nix/BSD package is the key to getting it installed on that Alpha - too bad we were not more prepared with a few different ones to try. Possibly next time? 

Craig - let me know when you want to try to install again. I'll try to remember bringing my DEC cheat sheets this time!
