I have no idea what .sdp is, but there are a couple of ways of playing quicktime streams in Linux. If you have xine installed, that should support quicktime. The official gnome media player, Totem, is a nice frontend to xine. Whether or not you can play Quicktime depends on what they installed on the livecd--and if they're not, you may be stuck. I don't know how easy it is to install new software on a livecd after its booted up, but it'll certainly be a hassle.

Also, for quicktime in a web browser, Codeweaver's Crossover Plugin is a great piece of software. But again, you would need to install this. I think if your livecd's don't have what you need, you may want to consider installing linux to your computer permanently. We are having an installfest on the 17th, you are welcome to bring your computer and have someone install it for you, as well as configure it for your needs.
