[olug] Mail delivery problem

Have you configured the "Ds" and "Cw" lines in sendmail.cf?
Have you processed the mail queue (sendmail -q)?
Are there any odd things in your aliases file?

The Ds line should be your smtp mail server. Like this:
DSmail.omhan1.ne.home.com
The Cw line should be your hostname. Like this:
Cwcx199598-b

The aliases file can have entries like this:
root: vraffensberger at home.com

To merely send mail, you do not need to run sendmail as a daemon and listen
on port 25, but you will have to process the queue (via cron).

I hope that gives you a start.
