you can try setting your SOCKS_NS environment variable:

open up a terminal screen under X windows (kvt, xterm, whatever)

type in

export SOCKS_NS=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
netscape &

of course, you should replace xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with the numeric IP address of
your nameserver at radiks.
