[olug] RAM Tester

Update on the QNAP Ram issue.
I ran Memtest86+ from the Clonzilla recovery USB that I used to restore the
internal DOM module. On the original 4GB stick that shipped with the
device, no problems were found in two passes. Made me feel somewhat
positive that the motherboard was good.
Put in the 16G Crucial (2x8G) and started the test again.
Immediately within the first 1% we were getting errors. Now I did not know
if it was a controller or the RAM (suspecting RAM at this point) was bad.
Removed one stick and no errors in 10% of a pass. Now I'm worried it was
the second slot. Nope moved the second stick into slot one by itself and
we are getting all sorts of errors.
So I am off to find a 16G (2x8G) DDR3L set of RAM for this thing. Hoping I
will not have to go to eBay. I know this is old.
Thanks for the pointers,
