I suspect Jon is referring to Cellular Tower overload even if there is a
good signal.  I suspect a subset of Significant Others today will fail to
understand that cell tower resources are especially limited in rural areas
and calls get dropped or do not go thru.  Experienced this on RAGBRAI.

I sent my son off to Tecumseh with family to experience it with the
Creighton Physics crew.
