Thanks for the offer.

Nope - once I tracked down the bad CPU, I was able to boot and run
MemTest86+ on the single CPU without issue.

And thanks for the offer of the CPU for testing - I'll keep it in mind to
use it to test the socket if I decide to purchase a second one off eBay.
