The only replies to bug reports sent to nvidia are:

  A.) "What OS are you using?"
  B.) "What Distribution are you using?"
  C.) "What Desktop Environment?"

Annoying that all of this information is not gathered up neatly by their
nvidia-bug-report.sh script.  Actually the script already collects uname -a
and many /etc/*-release files, but nvidia techs do not seem to know this.
There are many scripted answers to A and B, but C is more difficult.  So i
posted a question on stackexchange.

p.s.  The nvidia driver does seem so much more likely to crash if it or the
kernel is updated but the machine has not been restarted.  I have it update
automatically, so i may have to add some alert when it is updated.
