After rooting did you notice increased performance or decreasing in data plan usage?

I still have my stock S4 (one week old today). I agree that the carriers are collecting entirely to much data from and on the users, and rooting away all of their bloat ware is awesome!.

Aren't there applications like Helium that will backup/sync the phone and apps too? Guessing there are ssh terminals too. I haven't used either one yet so not sure how frustrating they might be to work with.

I root for 2 reasons:
1. Comprehensive backups
2. Running an sshd server makes transferring files much easier

Haven't really following the roots here but why would I want to root my S4? Not trying to be funny although my little princess says Dad's funny
