[olug] Cost effective enterprise backup

Won't beat y'all over the head with this, but you won't top CommVault.  I've used TSM (Tivoli), Netbackup, BackupExec, ArcServe and dedupe stuff like Avamar, DataDomain.

CommVault does client or storage side dedupe (we use the client side often for remote sites with limited bandwidth), has very robust reporting tools, is fast.  Licensing can be by client or capacity, whichever works best for you.  It is a GUI based architecture, so you script kiddies might get a little antsy wanting to type something.

Don't have VMWare, cost prohibitive.  Have Hyper-V and works really well on Server 2012 so far.
