[olug] [OT] IR extender via radio suggestions

For any home PVR users, what IR extenders are people using and having
good luck with?  A co-worker wants to move his PVR to the closet the
floor below the entertainment center.  He'd ultimately like a regular
remote and a wireless keyboard for the text entry.

Any suggestions?
