[olug] Setting up a MythTV backend system - what's the current recommended way to start?

give MythBuntu a go. I repaved my myth back-end about 18months ago and
went from a "put it together form", to using a tooled distro. There are
others but I'm using MythBuntu with great success. If you are going to
share with fam and friends, this should make your life easier.
