[olug] starting broadband ISP, any suggestions?

The thing with wireless is something Sam alluded to already.  With a
single radio and single antenna setup, you will only ever get
half-duplex at best.  The problem is that all of these Wifi
manufacturers always advertise the maximum theoretical speed of the
link.  Assuming something like 56Mbit/s advertised, you'll only ever
get 23Mbit/s at best with a single radio/antenna.  And that assumes
perfect conditions.  You're more likely to get into the middle/upper
teens under "great" conditions.
