Most people do not get excited about POE like we do.
Someday, our home LED lighting will be powered by PowerOverEthernet.

In some places, that could be against the fire code.  A clean out cover
filled with removable fire  putty could do the trick.

Why stop at the attic?  PVC through the roof that then turns 180 degrees
for the ubiquiti wifi antenna.
