I didn't find out about that "wiping when rooting" problem until my
son had owned his Nexus 7 for several weeks.  Now I'm wondering about
the best approach.  He's been burned before on his Wii & phone, so
he understands the benefit of a good backup.  However, not having
a backup yet, he'll have to lose everything in order to get good
backups from here out on his N7.

Oh, what to do, what to do...
