Some light reading material is on NIST - they just released a final version

I've heard ipv4 may run out of addresses as soon as q3 2011, this references
2012. Either way, that's sooner than I think most are  prepared to deal
with. If someone wanted to summarize the relevant parts (for Linux) that
would be a great/timely topic.
