To that end, I may still lean toward MediaWiki. To ease my initial foray
into the setup, I found TurnkeyLinux:

quickly and see how well it works for me.
I also saw a link to an OpenOffice-to-MediaWiki converter that might handle
a big portion of my initial conversion, and possibly provide a way for
non-technical people to submit Wiki documents (still the updating will be in
the Wiki itself). Now to find the time and that OOo2MW link...
