[olug] bridges

The majority of home networks utilize a nat, because most ISPs don't 
like you to take up multiple IP addresses.

What kind of bridge is this? Ethernet to ethernet? Ethernet to wireless 
(the most common today), or is it rather a gateway?

If you just have your computer hooked up to a piece of ISP provided 
equipment, I strongly suggest getting yourself a router and not trying 
to build your LAN on top of a WAN.
