Why don't you post to the list the output of lshw - some body may have
more RAM for you.  256MB would probably not be enough to run a
webbrowser nowadays.

i like htop  for sorting resource usage.

On OpenSuse, can you do 'yum install htop lshw' ?    Do you have to use yast?
