[olug] [OT] CPU upgrade comments?

I'm looking to update my current system.  The motherboard supports a AMD AM3
CPU, so I'm looking to move from my old AMD X2 3000 CPU to an AMD Phenom II
X4 965 CPU.  (NewEgg:

Before I pull the trigger and purchase it, is there a better
bang-for-the-buck option I should look at?

My constraints is that it has to be an AMD CPU - I just had to replace my
motherboard so switching to an Intel MB+CPU combo isn't open this round.
