[olug] Wired connection

About a month back I asked about a problem I was having with my wired network connection.
Just wanted to say thanks to Rob Townley for his advise.
The problem turned out to be that somehow I got two empty *.lease files in the folder for these.
I deleted the empty files and it now works fine on my home network.
So thanks again for the help.

Now the only issue I have is with the WiFi.
A reminder it is a thinkpad X31 with openSUSE on it.
The problem is I can't get the radio to turn on.
In Windoze the Fn, F5 key would toggle the radio on and off.
In linux this key combo does not work.
Anyone know how to get this to work or at least a terminal command that would turn the radio on and off?
