Social Media Web Design Intern
Job Summary:
The focus of the Social Media Web Design Internship is to create web site
style properties
based on best practice design and usability. This position is responsible
for creating engaging,
visually appealing, intuitive and interactive web design for our social
media platform. Web and
graphic design projects will include banners, landing pages, posters, forms
and other innovative
creations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a competitive and high-energy
environment.
Responsibilities to Include:
• Ability to work on multiple projects from start to finish with minimal
supervision
• Ability to produce site maps, user flows, page layouts, graphic mockups,
and color selections

• Ability to provide guidance to define and develop content to support user
online interactions
• Perform user testing to validate interface designs, navigation and overall
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve the site usability and the
overall quality of the site
design, organization and structure
• Create user interface and site design guidelines to support site evolution
and redesigns
Education Requirements:
• Bachelors in Arts or Sciences or equivalent experience preferred.
Completed marketing courses at a
college level; preferably with a focus on web design or graphic design
Position Requirements:
• Experience with HTML, CSS; working knowledge of FBML, Flash and Django
preferred
• Comfortable with multiple technology interfaces
• Knowledge of web browser compatibility issues and workarounds
• Excellent copy-writing skills
• Strong computer skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Exceptional verbal skills, both written and oral
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team atmosphere
