Primarily, for this position, we are looking for someone to be our full
time Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) administrator and support our SAN as
an administrator.

 

Primary duties consist of but are not limited to:  

*         Configure, install, maintain and troubleshoot IBM Tivoli
Storage Manager (TSM) environment; 

*         Prioritize and coordinate server backups; 

*         Assist in restoral of files or system states; 

*         Ensure proper offsite tape library rotation; 

*         Create and maintain Disaster Recovery plans for critical
business systems.  

 

Integral duties (Not secondary but essential to this position)

*         Support multi-vendor SAN/NAS infrastructure (IBM, NetApp,
EMC); 

*         Perform iSCSI as well as Fiber Channel card implementations
and SATA, SCSI, and Flash drive implementations; 

 

Additional skills that are desired:

*         Design and architect VMware based infrastructure solutions
which include P to V (Physical to Virtual), V to P (Virtual to
Physical), 

*         Cloning of servers and installation of virtual servers
(Microsoft, Linux, Unix); 

*         Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot VMware
environment;

 

Additional traits requested.

*         Provide guidance to Help Desk in diagnosing and correcting
systems failures; 

*         Work with the Application Services team to architect storage
solutions.

*         Evaluate new technology, assist with the planning and design
of future architecture; 

*         Develop and maintain documentation related to the
installation, administration, and maintenance of TSM, SAN/NAS, and
VMware environments.
