Yes, according to their website, you get charged for not having both.  It is cheaper/same price to have basic cable.  I will move to that when I get my server setup with little asus boxes at each TV for frontend to Myth as well as access to Hulu/Netflix.

Saves me money by cutting back services with Cox while still giving me access to local channels if Internet/server/UPS goes down.  Not the best solution but I think a fairly good one.
