Sounds like a setup that shouldn't be too complicated.

Don't forget tools like webmin that can make configurations much easier.
I'm betting there maybe many others possibly some even better than
webmin.  That's just one I've used for many years now.

Just a thought...

I am setting up a samba server for a local church ministry. they have 6 
users and 3 users don't have access to the server besides the printer. 
How can I set it up the 3 users that needs access to the files on the 
server I don't know how to setup profiles on the server. I got it 
working for a workgroup server that 2 users can login and see the same 
folder.
