Debian/Ubuntu seems to be ahead of Fedora when it comes to enabling a
single PC to be used simultaneously by more than one user. It used to
work in Fedora Core 8, but apparently not fc 9, 10, or 11. At least
that is how it appears to me - anybody have a MultiSeat system working
under Fedora?
A Brazilian has created the mdm package for Ubuntu that goes a long
ways in making it easy to have multiple users using the same CPU by
attaching extra mice, extra keyboards, and extra monitors. Has anyone
tried the mdm package? The source has been updated very recently, but
the packages in their repository are much older.
i just finished installing Fedora and CentOS on several machines but
it seems like the parent's machine may need to be Ubuntu. Oh, just
noticed they have a mdm LiveCD, so this may be super easy.
