Many of the "OS-less" PCs for sale still include Windows in the price-- you
just don't get a license. By returning Windows, you actually don't have to pay
for it. There's also the factor of a wider variety of ships-with-Windows PCs,
etc...

If the XM radio included a contract that you were required to either sign or
return the radio, then you should indeed be able to remove and return the
radio.

It shouldn't be "as cheap". It should be *cheaper*.
