I seriously pondered the idea of sending myself a set of flowers and then
later a set of flower cookies so that the office staff would feel bad about
not celebrating the day thus creating a future recurring holiday for myself.

The webpage was missing this little tidbit:
A sysadmin knows what websites you visit, which jobs you've applied
for at your current job, what you bought online for your wife, and
what you bought online for your mistress. Your sysadmin would like a
gift of equal value.
