I'll second the Atheros recommendation. The hard part is finding a card
that consistently uses the Atheros chipset.
It is absolutely pathetic that most wireless card vendors change
chipsets with phases of the moon... and they don't even bother changing
the model # of the card when they do it!!!
You have to pay a premium to get away from that crap. A 3com 3CRDAG675B
is a little on the expensive side ($80 where most other cards are $40 or
less) but they work really, really well and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use the
Atheros chipset.
