[olug] OT: ASUS M3N78 Pro mbd question

I'm thinking the CPU is functioning or I would get no POST whatsoever... maybe a slim chance it's somehow partially hosed, but I'm leaning toward the MBD and/or RAM...
I'll RMA the memory since I'm not hearing anything back from ASUS; just got it Thursday, so no problem there....

 I ran the Harry Potter books through a spell checker; none of those spells should work.

This sounds alot like problems I was having with a new build a couple of
months ago (Gigabyte board w/intel CPU), even the fan thing.  My RAM was
bad.  Removing the RAM (and trying to post without ram) didn't seem to
work.  I thought the MB and/or PS were borked.  

I RMA'd everything but the ram and still had the same problem.  RMA'd
the RAM and poof, everything worked.  Weird, right?
