[olug] Kubuntu 6.06 and tovid problem

Using Kubuntu 6.06LTS --

Trying to convert video from different formats and
back -- basically asf or DVD to mp4 and back.

Downloaded Tovid-0.29 and got ffmpeg and
installed 'make"
--
now get Error Message 

Encode stopped, killing all sub processes
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
tovid encountered an error during encoding:
    Couldn't create file:
"/home/joe/Desktop/HatH.0/audio.ac3"
Check the contents of
/home/joe/Desktop/HatH.0/tovid.log to see what went
wrong.

to do next.
