We're using Nagios, sort of.  We're using the Groundwork OSS extension
to Nagios, as well as Nagios.  We use it to monitor about every type
of server and service under the sun (including a Sun box).

That's not really my area so if you want more info I'll have to
consult with the engineer who handles it.
