I've also had good luck with 3ware cards.  The 9500 series even has a
battery backup option. 

At www.nixsys.com you can also get Areca RAID controllers.  They do support
RAID 6 according to the spec sheet.

I have used 3ware cards also without problems....most of the servers I
buy from www.nixsys.com   come with the 3ware RAID cards...they work
quite well in the Linuxs Servers they build.
