Unfortunately, time just ran out on the 64-bit penguin project. Gigabit load balancers, 14 new web servers, gigabit switches, dynamic images, and one or two other things got onto the docket before holiday freeze on Nov 15. But it will be tested in the New Year I am promised - so there is still a glimmer of hope. Thanks all for so much info and response.
