[olug] (OT) - Free/Cheap Temporary Colo-space

Put me down as interested in this too.  

I am currently starting a personal/business web page 
as www.(MyName).com but I am doing it on the low 
budget plan where I redirect to my free ISP web page 
space.  But when the public clicks, it ends up looking 
like www.(MyISP).com/users/webpages/(MyName) or 
something like that.  (I don't want to use the tricky 
option (masking?) to hide this, it causes other 
problems.  

So I've been looking at what I can get from GoDaddy 
and places like that (local providers are welcome to email 
me off list), I think $4/mo for basic email & web serve, 
(low vol), then $10/mo, $20/mo, and up with more options.  

But I would rather pay a community effort like this 
and participate in the learning/operating experience 
even if it cost a little more than the "lowest bidder".  

I think it's worth looking into.
