[olug] Ati-Virus/Anti-Spam/Anti-Spyware for Linux?

    At least I have an idea of where to look now.  I'm currently using 
Thunderbird for mail, since that's what I used in windows before.  
However, I noticed on the net that there are only a few virus programs 
that are currently working with it like kmail does.  I'm actually 
impressed with TB so far since switching to Linux.  It catches 99% of 
the spam mail I get, whereas the windows version was lucky to catch 
50%.  I don't know why, since I spent a lot longer training the windows 
version, and have only spent a few days on Linux.  I did download the 
clam anti virus software, and it appears to do what I need it to do.  If 
I were administering a network, I might set it up on a cron job, but 
since this is just a desktop machine, it will work fine if I just run it 
every so often.  My biggest concern is actually not viruses, but rather, 
getting hacked into.  As you might have noticed, I'm just now learning 
how to run Linux, and basically have a default install of Fedora I'm 
currently running.  It'll take me awhile to learn all the admin stuff I 
need to know for true security of my computer.  Anyhow, until then, I'll 
probably start coming to the lunches and meetings, and learn from all 
you more experienced guys.
