[olug] Parted resize HFS+ partition success

Did you do both Basic and Dynamic disks on NTFS partitions? I have some
of both that Diskpart doesn't want to extend.

I have personally had luck using Parted or QTParted under Knoppix to
safely resize NTFS partitions. My personal steps are to run chkdisk,
defrag, turn off page file, reboot to Knoppix then run QTParted. You
get a nice graphical representation of all HDs in the system and you can
mess with all of them w/o fear (until you save changes that is). I've
used QTParted many times on many systems and had no data loss. Even
better is that it now will move files on the disk to free up contiguous
space thereby eliminating previous problems I'd faced with Windows
defrag program!

Hope this helps
