Thanks for the excellent reply w/the pertinent links! In light of
it all, I think I'll wait for 4.4 to see how things are... then I
may just file that enhancement request. It seems appropriate to
have the menu come from a fixed location when using a keyboard
shortcut; hopefully, the devs will think so too.
