Hello,
You should look at Astinux. It is one of the few distributions that are
designed for the Embedded platform such as the Soekris. I would be
interested in seeing one of these systems in person and how they are laid
out before buying one so I would be willing to help you get the system up
and running.
Which Cisco phones do you have? What firmware do you have loaded on them?
Check out this page for more information.

I'm considering doing a small Asterix setup to see (hear?) how it
works with the Cisco phone system I run at home. I hear good things
about Asterix at Home but it wants quite a lot of machine - a PIII 500 or
something. I was really hoping to find a distro that supported Asterix
and would run on my 266MHz Geode based Soekris Net4801 single board
computer.
I know a couple of list readers are fooling with this stuff ... don't
be shy :-)
