It will at least be June.
The equipment still has to be installed in our uplink
building (hopefully in May). SCOLA has a major
conference this next week and then that's the next
major deal for me. It will be SCOLA's first
organizational use of Linux. Jay @ Reboot is doing
the job...so the distro will be probably be Gentoo.
At a later point we're going to (hopefully) need a
bunch of MythTV type set ups....BUT one step at a
time.
Myself and Charles Bird have pushed Linux due to
uptime without freezing (aka crashing), the ability to
customize without major bloat, multi-tasking ability
and software costs (and if ever networked protection
from most viruses).
Unfortunately, we have to have some Windows machines
to view our Quicktime 6.0 streams Live.
