Have you tried scanning the mail as it comes into the mail server?
Is that even an option for your environment?
It looks like you're running Novell GroupWise so it would be prudent to
look for AV solutions for that in addition to desktop AV - defense in
depth and all that.
You haven't mentioned how your users retrieve their mail, but if they
use POP3 one of these may be options:

I've never heard of Inteq VirusBarrier (strangely google isn't any help
... oh, wait that's *Intego* VirusBarrier), but I hear Sophos is
generally well regarded. I would stay away from Symantec and McAfee. I
have no experience with CA's offering... but based on my experience with
ARCServe... ugh.
In case you can't tell I've never used VirusBarrier :)
A company called Authentium (http://www.authentium.com/) makes a managed
AV solution called "Command AV" that will work with Windows, Linux, OS
X, *BSD, etc. It may be another option to look into.
