I have Mandrake 10.  I just put a different monitor on it so as to 
upgrade the display to 1024 X 768.  I cannot seem to get it to display 
that resolution the monitor however is quite capable of it.

I went to the control center but the settings don't seem to take hold.  
Can you tell me where to find something to accomplish this setting?

It works in windows I can't seem to get it in Linux.

The monitor is a Gateway 2000  vivitron.  model CPD GF200
