Can't say I have, but then I don't tend to do much hard-core stuff with
PHP and MySQL right now.
The next time you don't mind potentially taking your system down, how
about doing a "strace -p <PID_of_process>" and catting it out to either a
file and/or keeping a log of your terminal session. I have had times
where I could discern a pattern that helped me track down bad code (mine
or others).
