[olug] Need Suse help

At the last installfest,I found out that my internal modum was IBM so Suse 8.2 did not work on it.  I bought an external modum at the Millard Flea market but have not figured out how to install the program.. If I bring it Tuesday before the meeting, could someone please help.. My IBM lost its registry on Thursday and 34 System Restore trys later still no modum recognition or CD's either, so reboot via CD is not possible.  Really need the Suse internet connection.  I have DTN dial up.
