DTN has an Operations/ Engineering position open right now.  It would be 
working with all OS's, but most systems will be moved to Linux or Solaris 
in the near future.  The person who was working in this position is now 
leading the Unix integration.
This is a mid shift position (22:00-06:00).  If anyone's interested,

Position Title: Broadcast Operations Technician - Omaha, NE
This is a Full-Time Job
Position Summary: Ensure the successful day-to-day operation of IT 
Operational systems with minimal interruption of service. Personnel in 
this position provide first level (Tier 1) support for DTN's IT 
Operational systems. 
Essential Functions: 
Creates timely and accurate event notification and logging as directed by 
direct manager. 
Assist with computer system hardware and software configurations and 
installations. 
Assist with computer system administration, maintenance, and hardware and 
software upgrades. 
Conducts computer system hardware and software testing. 
Monitors related computer systems and feeds. 
Coordinates with other IT areas to resolve problems when necessary.
Assist with problem reports.
Performs script and batch file programming. 
Creates and maintains system documentation.
Communicates all issues through designated notification structure. 
Conduct other assignments which assist in carrying out the mission of the 
IT Operational department. 
Education/Experience/Skills: 
Associate Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, or 
at least 2 years equivalent work experience. 
General knowledge of NT 4.0, Win95/98 and DOS operating system. 
General knowledge of knowledge of UNIX operating system. 
General knowledge of IBM compatible personal computers. 
General knowledge of PC Local and Wide Area Networks. 
Must possess the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with 
identified customers and IS personnel to ensure the implementation of 
accurate rules and requirements. 
Must possess logical trouble shooting and problem solving skills. 
Must possess the ability to work under pressure. 
Must be very attentive to detail and be self-motivated. 
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills. 
Must possess the ability to communicate frequently with managers and 
associates to answer questions --in person, by telephone, or by e-mail.
Must possess the ability to communicate frequently with other departments 
and 3rd parties to provide information, answer system related questions 
--in person, by telephone, or by e-mail. 
Must possess the ability to frequently lift/move items up to 15 lbs and to 
occasionally lift/move items up to 75 lbs.
